 Get Rid of Nasty Stumps

There are many reasons to remove a tree, but especially an old decaying tree, off your property. In addition to being a danger to property and people, a decaying tree is unsightly and can attract pests and plague. Trees can also be removed to create room for landscaping or construction projects.

This is where the reputable services of Tree Service Pros can provide effective and precise tree removal even if the tree is surrounded by delicate architecture and other valuable property. After we have felled the tree and reduced its bulk to small manageable logs, what would you like us to do with stump?

There are two ways we can take care of the stump with two big differences: stump grinding & removal.

Stump Grinding -- Stump grinding leaves the roots of the tree in the ground. The remaining stump will be grinded  down till only a couple inches are left above the ground. Eventually the roots of the tree will decay and become part of the soil, when this happens the remaining stump will also disappear.

Stump Removal -- Stump removal involves the somewhat arduous process of pulling the entire root ball from the ground. Even very small trees can be difficult and challenging as the root ball can be 10 times the size of the tree (but not always). Once the tree in its entirety has been removed there will be a yawning pit in the ground where the tree once stood.

Which method is best for you?

Stump grinding & removal should be selcted on the outcome you are looking for. If you are looking for the most cost-effective way of addressing the tree stump, grinding it down takes less time and is less of an operation-- ergo, a cheaper service.

On the other hand, stump grinding does carry a risk that the stump will grow back. If you hope to plant a new tree or ensure that the tree stays gone, you should consider the advantages of stump removal.

There will be other factors that will factor into the cost of stump removal, including stump diameter, soil conditions as well as the type of tree and its age.
